Money Saving Tips

Looking for advice on how to save money on your energy bills?

The UK government has launched a new public information campaign to highlight some simple steps you can take to help cut down your energy use and save money.

There are a number of things you can do, without reducing comfort or putting your health at risk, including: reducing the temperature, a boiler heats water to before it is sent to radiators (known as the boiler flow temperature) from 75⁰C to 60⁰C turning off appliances at the plug reducing heating loss from your property, for example by draught-proofing windows and doors. Visit the website for more tips that can add up to big savings.

We also have our Cosy Homes Scheme in Barking and Dagenham, where you could be entitled to free cavity, external wall and loft insulation, heat pumps, and solar panels, which could help save you hundreds, or even thousands of pounds a year.

And the benefits don’t end there. As well as saving money and having a warmer home, you’ll be helping to do your bit to tackle climate change by cutting your carbon footprint.

As energy bills continue to rise, there’s never been a better time to check if you’re eligible for our Cosy Homes Scheme.
