Are you looking for a career that fits around your commitments?
If you enjoy working with children and want to make a difference to their start in life, a career in childcare may be for you.
This introduction course explores the skills and qualifications needed to work within the childcare profession.
What will I study?
You will:
- be introduced to our online learning system so that you can access classwork and assignments from home
- explore the roles and responsibilities of working in childcare
- look at types of jobs and career opportunities within the childcare industry
- be assessed on your current levels in functional skills
- be informed of your progression routes
Assessment method
You will complete an online assessment of your functional skills. Teachers will also assess your communication and written skills, through verbal and written assignments and tasks.
Entry requirements
No previous experience is required but you will need a good level of communication in English.
What should I bring with me?
You may need to take notes so bring along your preferred tools such as pen and paper or an electronic device.
