Course overview

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses aim to improve speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. 

 Improving your English skills will help you into the job market, to get a better job, help your child with homework, understand laws and customs and prepare for everyday life in the UK. 

What will I study?

You will:

  • complete an online assessment and a short piece of writing (this is not a test but will identify your current skill level)
  • discuss your goals and areas for improvement to plan a way forward
  • be introduced to the college online learning system so that you can access classwork and homework from home

There are no formal entry requirements.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring a pen, paper, earphones and any ESOL certificates you may have.
